A few weeks ago, Laura and her children came for their final visit before school starts. We had so much fun with them! Hank really enjoys seeing and playing with his cousins. Laura, Alyssa, Megan and Christopher stayed with Grandma and Grandpa as did Nancy, James and Paul. Grandma’s house was like party central with so many folks there! We tried to spend as much time with everyone as we could and Josh’s family felt the same way. We had play dates and dinners and swimming pool fun. Lots of dancing and singing and playing games, it was a blast! Laura brought some of Christopher’s old toys to pass along and Hank simply fell in love with a little toy camera. We think we’re going to let him use one of our old digital cameras more now because he really enjoys cameras.

Over that weekend, Hank’s GG and Grandad came to visit. We had our car washed by some of Tori’s school band mates (a fundraiser, Hank really liked it!) and then we took Hank, GG and Grandad to the Circus Chickendog Show. It wasn’t what we were expecting based on the promotional flyers, but we all had a good time anyway. We also discovered that Hank is apparently NOT a fan of unicycles. Or at least of people trying to ride them. Hank had fun visiting with his grandparents from out of town too. And then on the Sunday both GG and Grandad and Laura and her family had to go home, I celebrated the release of my new CD, “For A Little One I Love“, with a children’s show at a local cafe. That was so much fun too! A fantastic turnout, great energy, the whole morning was just so joyful! Hank enjoyed singing with me during sound check and he, James and Christopher danced and danced during the show! It was awesome to have so much family out to support the release of my very first children’s album. My parents were there, Tyler’s parents were there, Laura, Alyssa, Megan and Christopher, Joshua, Dayna and Tori, Nancy, James and Paul and even my Aunt Donna made it out! We also had some friends there as well and it was just such a wonderful time. I feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends and to have been able to spend so much time with people we love all summer long.
