What a fun cabin trip! July and August weather in Texas can be brutal so it was wonderful to escape the heat if even for a week or so. The weather in New Mexico was delightful, warm enough for short sleeves during the day, yet also cool enough for sweaters at night. Hank did well on his first long road trip. We’ve driven to Houston or Dallas with him in the past, but those were only a few hours drive. The drive to Chama was closer to 14 hours. That’s right, 14 hours in a car with a baby…. Hank was a trooper and we had a fabulous time! One great thing about driving is having the luxury to over pack, something we’ve gotten very good at doing since having a child. It really is amazing how much luggage one little being can amass.
There was so much to do at the cabin, or not do as the case may be, and we took many many photos. Here are some photos from Hank’s first trip to the cabin, in no particular order. Enjoy!
